Splendor 8 — the roof with the solar array
Works on a six-storey apartment building: external insulation, flat roof, balconies and a solar array on the roof. The site was run with the building fully occupied.
What was done
- External wall insulation on every elevation, with a two-tone colour scheme
- Waterproofing and insulation of the flat roof
- Solar array on the roof
- Balcony edges and parapets rebuilt
- Railings and steelwork replaced
Why it matters
Six storeys, dozens of families, nobody rehoused. The hard part of these sites is not technical: it is sequencing the phases so that life inside the building never stops. The result is measured in the energy bill and in comfort, not only on the facade.
